Rob Roy
Has anyone bought one of these in France, preferably Makita, and if so where did you find it? So far I haven't had any luck and would like to get one for my husband.
Anton Redman
Click on the link below, the on Catalogs, then on Outilage, and on page 24 of the PDF you will find two of them. http://www.reseaupro.frMy experience has been. Leroy Merlin had some in as a special about two years ago. They did not stock and were not going to stock the collated screws on bands for them. BricoDepot ditto about six monts ago, they did have bands of screws but only for the four weeks they had the drivers in. One tip ReseauPro will negotiate on price so check the screwfix price take it with you and stand in front of mirror practising the builders sharp intake of breath ready for when they announce the price. I am going to buy one from Screwfix with enough bands of screws if i ever have to dryline anything. Best of Luck.
Rob Roy
Thanks Anton, a useful post as always. I have been on the forum at least as long as you but had to re-register with a different name, and have found your information is always relevant and reliable (whatever other people say![;-)])I had wondered about buying in the UK, and getting friends to bring it out in February so think that may be the route I go down. There seem to be better deals to be had there.

Anton Redman
It does not have the screws in a belt, like a gattling gun, to you can just keep screwing without having to put another screw in the driver.Have a look at the collated screws in the link below :http://www.screwfix.com/prods/23462/Power-Tools/Corded-Screwdrivers/Ryobi-ESD-6040V-230V-Autofeed-ScrewdriverThat is where you get the real improvement in speed plus it leaves one had free when you are up the stilts
La Guerriere
I'm thinking about one at the moment, sometime in the spring when I've got all me ossature up and fixed. Any difference between the drivers that have the collated belt on a rack on the top and the ones that feed from underneath ?
Anton Redman
I do not know. I used to post occaisionally on the Screfix forum but gave up because they were too many brain transplant donors posting. It might be worth asking for a recommendation theire. Best web name / soubrouquet I have ever seen 'Dewalt Disney' was an habituee.
