CeeJay
We have a devis for an extension to our house, but some of the words used defy all well known dictionaries. So is there anyone out there who knows of a good dictionary.I have in mind terms such as:- hourdis, genoise, arrasement etcAlso I note that he has added TVA at 19.6%, from earlier discussion on this Forum I understood that 5.5% was still in force? Tancrède
I have in mind terms such as:- hourdis, genoise, arasement etc
The Word Reference Forum, which has been frequently commended on other threads, has all these words (and many others). http://www.wordreference.com/The genoise is presumably for the workmen's tea. fromage
Try the Oxford-Duden Pictorial French and English dictionary. Not just building terms but all sorts of other things too.
