johnycarper Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 Can anyone suggest a way of stopping the smell we get from the new fosse setic we have had installed,it does not haoppen all the time.The builder has put a vent pipe up through our barn roof which was supposed to get rid of the smells,we have now had a new bath and shower fitted in the house which involved new pipe work and the smell is coming up the shower waste.Any suggestions would be appreciated Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
La Guerriere Posted February 25, 2010 Share Posted February 25, 2010 Sounds like lack of vent pipe, and the system is sucking the water trap out in the shower. May be possible to add a vent pipe, a small one say 40mm would do so it can be hidden somewhere, with an air admittance valve on the top Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
