thunderhorse
The sticky mesh can be called bande à joint or similar. When you say finish plaster, do you mean for the joints? Normally only the joints are done. If so, something like enduit à joint. The sheds, Weldoms, Mr Bricolage - all will have what you want.
Joshua
Thanks TH & MaudeThat might be why I can't find Board Finish. If its common practice to only fill the tapered edges at the joints then Board Finish might be not available.Board Finish , usually in very pale pink, is used to apply a very thin layer over the whole surface to give a perfect finish. It has a consistency of thick cream and fills all the imperfections.Regards Joshua

[:D]I don't think French boards are designed to be coated. Not necessary. Do a good job on the joints and you won't see them.
Chippiepat
for a more proffesional job I always tape the joints and skim with plaster as in the U.K. Even tape & jointing is time consuming and messy for the D.I.Y'er.For the plaster ask for 'Lutec'2000 mixes easy & does'nt set in the mixing bath or bucket to quick.
