Théière
Posh words for laminate, although we fitted a lot of solid bamboo flooring that was clasified as engineered so it may apply to tolerances compaired to normal timber which is usally abstract and requires additional finishing
BIG MAC
'Engineered' may be solid wood but designed to behave in a certain way ie. dried in a controlled way, machined to include / exclude heartwood. Relief machined to the underside to control warp.It could be glue laminated timber to ply, timber to timber or even photo lacquered.Engineered really means machined or manipulateded in such a way as to perform within an adequate range / tolerance.
