Bathroom Floor

We are thinking of renovating our bathroom and I would like the floor changed. At the moment we have very old tiles and I fancy something different. I would love to hear people's opinion or suggestions for an attractive bathroom floor.

 We are just having Karndean http://karndean.co.uk/site/index.cfm ( Amtico look alike) put in the kitchen and my sister has it in the bathroom.

 When I described it to my friend who lives in France she seemed familiar with the type of floor although not the brand...

Ideally I'd have liked the ceramic tiles that look like wood, but we have a large area and they are pricey IMHO...

I ahve just done two bathrooms with laminate flooring over UFH mats, I found one that claimed to be 100% hydrofuge and it certainly resembled asbestos or the tile backet board, I put a small toroidal offcut (from my holesaw) into a jam jar full of water a couple of months ago and it has not absorbed any water.

It was more expensive than traditional laminate flooring but not excessively so.

Another idea is those woodgrain effect textured self adhesive planks that Leroy Merlin sell, they are very easy to apply, look and feel like real wood even if you get right down on your hands and knees, if they dont last the duration in a humid area or you get fed up with them they only cost about €12/m2 and are relatively easy to take up, I think the brand name is senso

Quite agree with Chancer.  I bought the self adhesive "wood effect" tiles from Leroy Merlin and at 60+, laid them myself.  The result is fabulous and really looks like wood.  It pays to buy the best you can afford, though.
