gyn_paul
Does Brummer Stopping - or its equivalent - exist in France? And if so what's it called ?And before you others ask, it's a small tube or tiny tin (think Humbrol model paint-size) of a mastic-like wood filler used to fill nail holes in finished wood surfaces it is/was available in various colours tinted to various wood types.I'm now tired of the staff at Brico Depot looking at me as if I'm from another planet, as I ask for more and more (to them) exotic items ! p
Gluestick
Never seen it in any of the Brico sheds, GP: I brought some over from UK.I know exactly what you mean though: it was cellulose nitrate based.Only downside was it tended to refuse to take stain: as it's constituent parts were impervrious. Axminster carry a good range of Liberon products: and I have seen these in France and they do mke a wood stopper/filler which will take stain. M.Bricolage used to carry some of the Liberon range.http://www.liberon.co.uk/wood/wood-filler,434,464.html?&args=Y29tcF9pZD0zMDQmYWN0aW9uPWZpY2hlUHJvZHVpdCZpZD0xMzkmfA%3D%3DMy antique restorer chum uses this to infill damage prior to staining and re-polishing.
