rropo
I am in the process of thinking about installing electric heating as no other type would really be practicable for our house.Has anybody any experience of getting EDF supply upgraded to cater for increased load? Cost if any? Notice required? I believe there is also a means whereby the radiators can be switched on/off sequentially thus reducing the electrical load at any one time and especially when oher domestic electrial items are being concurrently used? Anton Redman II
The thing which cuts the heating rather than tuning off the PC and TV is a ‘Delesteur’http://www.promotelec.com/technique/espaceinfo/espace_3b.aspxYour meter should given a hint as to how much the upgrade will be. 3 Kva to 6 Kva or 9Kva ( almost kilowatts) is normally easy and cheap more power than that may be an issue. Depending on where you are reversible air conditioning may be worth considering.
