Rich1972
I just want some filler, some bog-standard white filler of the type that you can buy by the tubfull as Polyfilla in B&Q. I don't mind if it's a powder that I mix myself but what the hell is it called over here!! Platre, enduit, mortier, colle?? [blink]

What type of enduit is 'filler'?

Kittycat
I & most of the french I work with use the large sacks of board adhesive, either Joker or MAP depending where you buy it. Cheap at €5 - €8 for 25kg, it fills to any depth, sets quickly & because it's an adhesive will also strengthen your repairs.
dragonrouge
yesterday we had a new double glazed door fitted and which left some gaps around the new door. First of all our guy filled it with quick drying mousse and then made up a mixture from a large 25kg bag much I suppose as suggested here.
