CeeJay
Read an article recently about Aerogels and more specifically the supposed fantastic insulation properties they have. Problem is I am not too sure how old the article was and if there is now a commercial product available. Anybody heard of this?
La Guerriere
It's available, but it's stonkingly expensive.
Bob T
From what I understand, if you don't need very light and very thin, then it is not worth bothering about.
Pierre ZFP
About 10 years ago I saw first hand a sample of this. It weighs nothing and has amazing properties but as was said above, eye-wateringly expensive and extremely fragile. I suppose it must have some specialist application but as for say insulating your house or similar - Nah!
