John Brown
I'm looking at fitting a new window in the back of the house that doesn't need to match any other as its the only one on that elevationLooking on the suppliers websites windows are termed Left or Right opening. Is that looking from the inside looking out or the outside looking inIts important in this case because it opens over the garage and it's a good fire escape route if it opens inside to the leftJohn
Théière
Ha ha, usually from the outside but call and check as this frequently gets mixed up even on major housing developments and one of the reasons I have two sets of French doors on the rear of my house for free [:)]
tonyv
I always understood it to be "poussant", i.e. the side it opens when you're pushing.

[/quote]Don't you pull French windows to open them? Well you do in my house as they open inwards. Unless of course mine are round the wrong way? but then the handles would be on the outside............ OK I'll get my hat and coat, sorry [Www]
