maude
Hello Folks.Just ben diagnosed with a serious health problem and had 3 weeks in hospital.difficult for my wife to maintain the woodburner, fetch wood, clean it out etc.We are now looking to change the heating system without spending trillions.Question-how noisy are the internal fan units-seen the decibel figures but how to relate to normal living is difficult-anyone any guide? thanks Maude
Quillan
They are not that noisy in fact we hardly notice them at all. They don't seem to blast air out like say a fan heater on full power neither are they anywhere near as noisy. Sometimes I have to go and put my hand in front to see if they are actually working. AnOther
Certainly the ones I have encountered have been, as Q says, barely noticeable.
Théière
maude sorry to hear your unwell,a decibel chart may help your understanding, although I think they are wrong about the rock group! [:)]
pachapapa
I have a dbA Soundmeter, in rural deux-sèvres sometimes 30 db and then a bird chirps and disturbs me.grosso modo an increase of 3 db is a doubling of the sound intensity.
