WJT
Does anyone know what makes radiator paint accept high temperatures? Does it have something added to it that spirit based paint doesn't have?
andyh4
I am no expert in these matters but I am fairly certain that radiator paints are a totally different chemical composition and are enamel paints rather than oil based - or today more likely acrylic. WJT
Thank you Andyh4. I have a brand new 4 litre tin of Glycero spirit based paint that one shop suggested I use on top of bad badegeon on the walls but I have since learned it may not be the solution (still not sure!). I have quite a few radiators to paint so was hoping I could use it. It states it is sous-couche Universelle ISOLANTE Glycero. Not sure how it differs to the old fashioned spirit based gloss paint.
