BN40
Hello, I have a query regarding a french property and a friend told me about this website. Hope you can help. We just purchased an apartment in France and it has been voted on at a tenants meeting prior to our purchase that the hall carpets will be replaced. My understanding was around 2005 a law was passed that the new owner takes on this cost whereas previously it would have been the voters cost. Is this correct? Thanks in advance. Kitty
Welcome to the Forum. Were you told about this possible cost during the sale process by the notaire? Did the notaire ask the vendors for any outstanding liabilities? Have you spoken to your notiare about it?Have you seen this site?http://www.notaires.fr/notaires/notaires.nsf/V_TC_PUB/ENGLISH-HOMEPAGE
