nick16
This is a follow up to a previous thread of mine in regard to the glass being broken. The model is the 6.5kw Godin 3144 Regence model. Has anyone got the same one and would be willing to give me the dimensions for the glass including the thickness. I am currently in the UK and the feedback seems to indicate that it will be cheaper to buy it here. Thank you.
ericd
Not specifically.....Our Godin Regence (12Kw) had its glass broken and the cheapest replacement place I found was the "miroiterie Poux" in Montauban. The UK suppliers were near 50% more expensive.

NuBeginnings
I replaced the glass in one of my stoves in the UK after over zealously trying to put a big log in.Cost of glass £50 which I thought was a rip of.But @150 in France now that takes the pee ! Jo
I bought the Godin Regence ref: 3144 last autumn from Bricomarche and the dimensions it gives for the glass are 240 x 435 [blink]
ericd
Jo you will notice that mine is the 12Kw Regence (might even be called "Grand Regence"....) And the dimension I took were from a broken glass so I might be a few mm out....However it was blasting away during our last 2 visits and is working perfectly. Jo
Mine is the 6.5kw one the same as the OP, so perhaps that is where the difference is? Can't find anything that refers to the thickness except perhaps ep4????[8-)]but it does say it resists temps up to 750 degrees?
ericd
ep4 would stand for "epaisseur 4mm"
nick16
Thank you for those who replied. A friend of mine took the door to a local Bricomarche and got a quote for 43 euros. The best price I was given in the UK was £60. Looks like France wins this time.
