Théière Posted January 5, 2013 Share Posted January 5, 2013 Hello aj and welcome to the forum,The pointmaster will just about work with the course grade of sand used in the pointing of limestone walls without jamming up too much. The mix is the one that suits the wall not the tool, if the tool won't work with the correct mix then it's the wrong tool. 2:1 -2.5:1 sand to chaux (and no cement) would do the job.Lots of useful information Here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Something like; add the sand then the lime to some water and leave it for a while without stirring.
