Happy with a French artisan

Well, I had read the horror stories about French artisans and it was with some trepidation that I awaited the work, or lack of it, in replacing our fosse.

Well, highly delighted with the artisan who was extremely pleasant the main problem being language – he only spoke the regional dialect of French and extremely fast whilst my French language skills are lacking (have resolved to do something about that).

He turned up when he said only to have to stop when an unseen problem arose and the fosse inspector said another system had to be used.

So here he was, half a day in to the job and stopped as a different system had to be ordered.

A few days later and he brought the new system and recommenced work.

He worked quickly and tidily and the job was completed in a couple of days.

Now, with the change of system it meant he had to rearrange his work schedule so that may have meant that someones job started before he had originally said and someone elses may have been delayed.
