sueyh
A friend of ours has these types of shutters. One of the operating parts has sheared off. Does anyone have any idea where he can buy parts for it?
Théière
That's a tricky one without a picture as some use a rack and pinion open system like they used to have in schools and others use an enclosed system like morse teleflex controlsGrabbed from the web to show some products, not making any recommendations. http://www.ljpratley.co.uk/products/manual-window-controls

Pierre ZFP
A photo would be very helpful. Is it possible that it is something that could be welded back together?I've done many little jobs like that over the years for myself and various folk but it would depend on what the part is make from. Cast iron for example is difficult to weld and normally needs specialist equipment
nectarine
A very useful posting .... one of my shutter openers has also fallen apart on the telescopic crank bit ( didn't know how to describe it before so thanks for that). Thanks for the website link ...
YCCMB
I open and close my shutters myself. Does this mean mine are crank-operated as well?

YCCMB
You must have got in quick, Pierre. I'd already edited...can't see the screen on my iPad without my specs, and it's prone to autocorrect to any word it fancies!
