Jonzjob
At the moment I am trying to find the fault on our neighbours Fenair pressure washer. The motor runs fine, but the pressure regulator only gives out one pressure and that's about mains pressure. I have tried contacting Fenair here in France and was told that it must be quite old and they don't make them and haven done for ages. He didn't know the machine at all. What I am trying to do now is get some info on the compressor and especially the regulator so that I can have a look at it and see if I can fix it?This an external of the regulator. Does anyone have any info on it or know where I can get it please?
Théière
Good luck with that john, it's been 30 years since i stripped re sealed and serviced a pressure washer and even then it only worked for a while. Best we found was to pressurise the pump from the tap rather than expect it to draw from a bucket.Similar looking spare units on Ebay
sid
Petrol driven pressure washers all work pretty much on the same principle, they have different design layouts but the main components are recognisable; the most common fault is a sticking relief valve. I've had this here with our very hard water. It just needs cleaning. Have a look at this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfUcXlBZRxk Worth a try. Jonzjob
It looks more and more as if I could either have a look at the setup, or bin it? Either way there doesn't seem to be a lot to loose? But my 1st job is to see to the pool for the prep for the new liner [:-))]It will be a great shame if it's a bin jobby, because it is a solid and well made bit of kit.Ta for the good wishes though TP!! Jonzjob
Sid, your link led me onto a pro doing the job and it looks VERY interesting. He knows what he is doing and whyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qmrhgq22ASIThat bloke in your link should be worth watching if he had to do a serious job, but at a distance me-thinks [:-))]We have to go to Toulouse tomorrow for the surgeon who chopped my hand and wrist about to tell me what a star he is and what a good job he's done, and he has too!! So I will have a look at the ideas given by the videos in a few days and let you know how I get on?
