Benjamin Posted March 3, 2008 Share Posted March 3, 2008 As Spring is arriving here's a little tip I was given some years ago by a UK estate agent.Whenever you decide to sell your house it's sod's law that your garden may not be at it's best so now that all of the flowers are starting to look good take as many photographs as you can and store them for later usage should you decide to sell. You could try asking your agent to include them in the sale details or you could offer to give a slide show/DVD to any prospective purchasers who look a bit keen on your place.For those people who are imaginitavely challenged this may just give them the incentive to view your property in a better light on a cold and windy afternoon in the middle of December.Looking at some of the photographs that French estate agents produce you might also consider adding plenty more of your own internal and external shots to complement the agents' photographs.By the way, we're not looking to sell. Beemer1150 Posted March 4, 2008 Share Posted March 4, 2008 As someone who has just bought a property here in 17 I can't recomend highly enough taking you own photos!We were astonished by the quality of pics we saw - clothing drying in the kitchen, people (presumably the owners!) blinking in the flash, rubbish everywhere, and always the dog tied up in the garden! No way of deciding what the pics were of, or where they fitted into the overall scheme... Actually totally worthless - we'd turned down the house we eventually bought as a result of the photos we saw. By complete chance we saw the property and fell in love with it... it was nothing like the photos!Take some nice pics and either give them to the agents or try to get a link to your own website and photos.
