John Brown
Which is better,ATM I have a French 4 gang extension lead hidden behind a unit with 3 UK 3 pin transformers plugged in with adapters (cordless phones etc ) and a single french plug.Would it be safer to have a 4 gang English extension lead fitted with a French Plug ( doing away with the need for the adapters )and an English 3 pin plug on the single connectionI only ask because the adapters have printed on them that they are for limited use onlyJB
Pierre ZFP
I do as you propose and put a French plug on a 4 gang UK block. I only use it for low current things like transformers for phones etc but it's worked well for me for years
John Brown
Thanks Pierre ZFP,It does seem a better way of doing it and like you it's only for transformers for 2 phones ( Internet & landline ) a tablet charger and a LE table lightI'll pick one up next time I'm in the UK. Maybe invest in a voltage surge protection one as its left on 24/
Jonzjob
I too just stick a French plug on a UK multi job. An extra is that they are normally fused as well. You can get them on Amazon very easily hereOr surge protected ones hereIf we were to wait until we went back we would be waiting a l o n g time. The last time was about 5 1/2 years back..
