PaulT
A small outbuilding (approx 8m x 4.7m) had Canal tiles on it that had slipped, broken etc and the roof had been leaking in a number of areas. I thought the easiest thing would be to take the Canal tiles off and replace them with Romane tiles - a fairly easy job not taking too long. I also bought some Canal tiles for the ridge.Stripped off the Canal tiles and then discovered that the structure of the roof was rotten - so strip it all off and start again.Just need to put on the ridge tiles and discovered that they are not wide enough to span the tiles on either side.At long last the question:Do you just use Canal tiles, are there different size ones or are there actual ridge tiles? andyh4
You can certainly get ridge tiles - tuile faitière or tuile aretière.
