CeeJay
My very ancient and very small letter box attached to the wall near the front door needs replacing as it couldn't hold even small packages, so I have now bought a big job 30x30x40 which I intend to fit into the garage door next to the front door. However, looking at the packaging on the new box it states that a "Demande de Raccordement" is needed by La Poste. Is this really necessary nowadays and indeed , do La Poste still insist on this. Jo
I changed my gate which used to have the letter box built in, I put the new one on the wall next to the gate and didn't need a "Demande de Raccordement", my postie just asked that I keep it at the same height. ( I seem to remember there was a paper inside the new box which told you how high it has to be.)
CeeJay
Thanks all and to confirm via le facteur a Demande de Raccordement is not required on replacement letter boxes.
