zeltus
Has anyone got a pointer to a website that displays the recent performance of the Euro against the Pound?(We have agreed a price for a property in Sterling but have to pay in Euros. And I don't wish to get fleeced, any more than the seller want sto get less than he is asking for!)CheersBill

Musicmonkey<ADDRESS><STRONG>Musicmonkey<STRONG><ADDRESS>
Have you seen our posting 'Exchange rate trap'? We too were given a figure in sterling and had a shock when the agents' figure turned out to be very different from what we'd expected. We had naively expected the rate to resemble the current international rate.Hope your agent is not the same one as we dealt with. Good luck

Jean L Ecossais
LAST EDITED ON 29-Sep-02 AT 11:09 AM (GMT)Try HIFX http://www.hifx.co.uk/ who are currency dealers with on line current currency rates. You can forward purchase from them if you think that rate is good at time and you dont pay up until you need currency. We used them for our purchase. Why are you purchasing in sterling anyway currency in France is the euro,I suspect that you are purchasing from British person who wants to protect their interests and it is you who will suffer any downturn in sterling v euro value.
