audio
I have an Emploi Service cheque book but since recently moving, the cheques have my former address. For temporary use before a new book can be issued, is it legal to hand write my new address on the cheque? My personal bank details have not changed.
Benjamin
I did that some five years ago but one company who I gave a cheque to asked for a copy of a utility bill before they would accept it. It is, after all, a means of verifying your current address.I went straight to my bank afterwards and they issued me with a new cheque book showing the correct address.
