Nick Trollope
You had best ask them, as they may (probably will) be charged for cashing your cheque (same currency, different banking systems). Why a cheque?
Jacqui Too
Why a cheque?
It's a private person selling something for €25 , How else can I pay them? I won't send cash.
Jako
Use Paypal or a bank transfer (virement). The costs in Austia for cashing a French ( or UK) cheque will exceed the value of your cheque.
Patf
I once did something similar (cheque) and I think the fee was 14€.
AnOther
Probably cheaper to send € cash by International Special Delivery.
Weegie
A virement, as mentioned by Jako, is the easiest way. You need the account details to pay it into including the IBAN number. There is no charge within the Eurozone. If you go into your CA branch they will give you a proforma to complete. Straightforward and easy.
Jacqui Too
Thank you every one, seems the cheque is out of the question then!I will see if they will take Pay Pal, I have just used them to purchase something from USA and it was very simple and very cheap fees.
