Any UK old aged pension you are due is payable over here (by which I mean you don't lose your entitlement by moving - not that the French pay it!) idun Posted September 15, 2010 Share Posted September 15, 2010 A full french basic pension is based on approx 164 trimestres of payments into the french pensions system.The rules are currently changing, hence the manifestations at the present time. So this number of trimestres could probably go up.Not only is the french pension based on the number of trimestres but how much is earned too during the last 20 years.So the answer is no then you could not get a french pension, if you do not fulfill the criteria.
