elamessa
I notice my French bank card is due to expire in September this year.My question is does the bank automatically send out new ones as per the UK banks.I bank with Caisse d'Epargne and pay a fee to have the card.thanks in advance. NormanH
My bank (Crédit Agricole) does, although sometimes I collect it from my branch.
Babbles
I had to arrange to have sent to our UK address and wouldn't work until it was activated in a BNP cash machine, but at least I didn't have to go to the branch as its 3 1/2 hours away! andyh4
I had to write and remind our CA that our cards had expired and we had not received replacements.
CeeJay
We usually have to go to the local CA branch and collect them. We are not advised they are ready!
nomoss
CA sent notification that they had my wife's new card at the branch. When we went I asked about mine. They said it would come in due course but I insisted on knowing when, as my old one had only one day left and it's the only Euro card I now have..Several phone calls were made, and it turned out eventually it had been lost "between the manufacturer and the branch". They sent a replacement a couple of weeks later. So the notification seems to be generated in the local branch when they get the new cards, rather than on expiry of the old card by an automatic system.
