Travelling with Ryanair, document requirements

Hi all, we travelled to France in August/September for a long break via Eurotunnel and although a bit stressful getting all the docs uploaded etc. (and expensive!) it was relatively straightforward. Next month we are having a shorter holiday so flying with Ryanair. As the advice has recently changed we wondered if there's anyone who has travelled recently with Ryanair as, as usual, their customer service is next to useless.  We are getting contradictory advice online, Government website says no Covid test required to enter France (agree, we did not need one when we travelled with Eurotunnel) but Ryanair are saying in their document requirements that a PCR or antigen test is required.  We are both fully vaccinated so am rather confused. Don't want to get to the boarding gate only to be turned away and as the cost of the tests is high, obviously don't want to waste money if its not needed. Thank you

Last week, travelling via the Tunnel, I had to go into the terminal building to show my Covid vaccination status, as I had failed to upload it when I booked.

Earlier in the month, catching, a Eurostar to Paris from London, I had to show my vaccination certificate, on my phone, to the French immigration people at St Pancras before being allowed to board.

so... you don’t have to have a TEST before travel, but do have to prove your vaccination status in some way. Best to upload it when making your booking.  I am assuming the ferries require the same procedure.

No uploading for the ferry apart from passenger information. Five weeks ago returning to France via the tunnel, We couldn't upload our vaccination status, so when we arrived at the check in a disembodied voice from the machine said: " you haven't uploaded your vaccination status", we explained why, the voice said: "ah OK, are you all vaccinated"? We said yes, the voice said "OK then procced through." No trip to the terminal building required. I think they make the rules up as they go along.  😂

I did not know this, and many who hold only UK passports might not either:  Just for info then following a case in the paper for a woman refused a flight to Spain.

Why the line about ‘issued within the previous 10 years’?

For many years, until September 2018, the UK had a generous policy of allowing credit for “unspent” time when renewing a passport, issuing documents valid for up to 10 years and nine months.

So a passport issued on 31 October 2012 could show an expiry date of 31 July 2023.

This was fine around Europe and the world for decade – until Brexit, whereupon a longstanding rule kicked in. For non-members of the EU hoping to enter the Schengen Area, a passport must have been issued in the past 10 years.

With a passport issued on 31 October 2012, regardless of the expiry date, you will not be allowed to enter the EU from 1 November 2022.

Until September 2018 the government appeared unaware of the problem. Once the issue was identified, the practice of giving up to nine months’ grace ended abruptly.

Do they still require COVID testing when entering France? The last time I traveled there was back in 2020, and it was nasty because they were checking everything. I managed to get into the country only because I had all the necessary documents, including a letter from work stating I was a crucial specialist they needed.
It was so easy to buy a business class ticket back then because they all were so cheap. And Paris was so empty. Looking back, I regret I hadn’t visited other popular European cities back then because it was obviously much less crowded.
Anyways, is the entrance in France free now? or do I still have to demonstrate any COVID-related documents?
