On the fishy theme, my major influences are Sole and Hard Rock.

Favourite artists -  Fontella Bass,  Cod Creole, Minnow Riperton, Marlin Gaye, Julian Bream,

Favourite songs - Theres a Plaice for us, Haky Breaky Heart,

Favourite actress -Judy Tench (Dame)

OK Ive found my level now.

By the way I read the book of famous Welsh people last night during a Tv ad break.

Leedstyke, you are on a deathwish boyo.  You have awakened the dragon.  We will come from all corners of the forum and wipe you out.   You have been warned.

By the way, I think you read the joke book during TV ad break.   Dire son absolutely embarrassingly dire.

We don't do normal run of the mill stars in Wales my love,  we do mega star material only.  Don't need a lot then see!

By the way, my wifes 2 sisters are coming over soon from Haverfordwest. They both married Welsh men.

Hard life this missionary work. (take that whichever way you want)

Regards from LeedsTyke and as you probably noticed Leedstykes got relegated from the RU premier division this year, so dont mention Rugby.

I am spreading the Welsh way[:-))]

Altogether now

"Everywhere we go....

People wanna know....

Who we are....

So we tell them....

We are the Welsh....

The very very Welsh...!"

Browd ?

Actually I have a good  real-life example of Welsh friendliness, wit an repartee.

We (Tykes) had just beat Pontypridd (or however you spell it) in a cup game with 3 tries in the last 5 minutes.

In the pub near the Headingley ground after the game I walked past a group of their supporters on the way for a leek (sorry leak). Conversation went something like this -

Me (affable Yorkshire sports supporter) -  Good Game Boys

Them -  errrrruuuuughpaaaa

possibly this loses something in translation from the Gallic, but I think I got the gist.

THERE WILL BE A WELCOME IN THE HILLSIDES SORT OF THING.

By the way when I asked why you are all in France I just realised (Pays De Galles).

You are all French in sheeps clothing.

Anyway what are you doing on my thread if not a musician.

NOTE THAT  Dave started all this - lit the blue touch paper and ******** off.

Hi Twink.

Just noticed onprofile that you are a singer. Tell me more.

Do you work in France.

If so tell me about complications - e.g. Tax, declaring music or whatever.

Do you have an agent. How do you get gigs.

Do you sing in Welsh and that sort of thing.

Yes I work in France, on average I've done 60 gigs a year since 1989.  I am intermittent du spectacle (look it up please -  it's too complicated to explain here).

I have 3 different bands - I do everything  jazz, pop, rock, soul, R&B, funk, gospel - I'm Welsh you see[;-)]

It ain't easy but if you're good you can earn a living.

By the way I DO NOT sing out of tune!!!!

Count yourself lucky that's all they did those boys from Ponty[:-))]

Excellent

But how do you get the work and are there complications with tax etc.

If its too private send me a private E-mail.

Perhaps we could do an Edith piaf / maurice chevalier tribute. Can you do Maurice Chevalier.
