mint
Thanks, Pacha, will have a good read through. It amazes me how you can always produce these things (not unlike the magician and the rabbit)![:D]
pachapapa
There is some useful information on site below, it is a professional service but the diagnostic pro forma is useful giving the equivalent areas for loos, robinets ,etc.http://www.atelier-taxeslocales.fr/index.html

Gardengirl
I rang our local office in France this morning, as our taxe d'habitation bill hadn't arrived in UK as it normally does. I had to email a neighbour for the phone number, as all paperwork is in France (we were meant to be there too, but flu intervened!). I got through straightaway, a very helpful woman found the account from our surname and told me the bill had been sent to UK as normal. When I said I wanted to pay by cheque now she said not to worry about the reference number and she'd look out for the envelope with cheque and covering letter in reception from a couple of days time. I was delighted! This non-arrival of the bill has decided me to pay by direct debit; we already do for taxe foncière, and it was only sloth that had stopped us having it set up for both!I rang, as my neighbour told me that he'd never had a reply to an email; maybe you could phone them up, Jon 1.It had gone up a little, but not as badly as I'd feared!
