             There is in the pipe line plans for a new by pass for Chiche , does anyone know if  " The Powers To Be "  have yet chosen the North or the South option for the road ??

If it's anything like the Saint Varent by-pass don't hold your breath!   Ours has been on-going for about 15 years with a selection of different routes being "flavour of the month" each year.  Every now and again we get the chance to vote on the alternatives and then it all goes back to the drawing board.

Mind you, Chiché probably needs one more than us.

I think my father would prefer it if it went north of Chiche, otherwise it could end up being behind his house...!!

Anyway, with the duel carriageway up to Bressuire almost there (is there a completion date for this yet?), it would make sense to continue and carry on down towards Parthenay.

And yes, it does need it. Trying to turn left onto the N149 is a nightmare at the moment.

             Twingoman  I Was going to post this before and for got ...... If you mean turning left off the D177 in Chiche ??? take the turning b4 along side the cemetery it comes out in the middle of Chiche  on the flat with a good view in both directions

Yes, I know that way, I always go up towards the square when turning left to go towards Bressuire.

But even that way is difficult with the amount of traffic on the main road.
