Anyone near Arcachon?

It is possible that we may have to move to Bordeaux next year.  If so, my husband will be working in the south west of the city, so it would make sense to look for a house somewhere between Arcachon and Bordeaux.

Does anyone live in this region? And if so, can you tell me anything about it?  I have thumbed through loads of previous posts, but most are about the Dordogne region.  Any info. would be most welcome.

i'm a native of Bordeaux(but i live now in Dordogne) and of course i know well the area.

It's really a pleasant place.Bordeaux is a beautiful town, where you could find whatever you need like in others big town and the area near arcachon is of course more quiet but near the sea(which is a real advantage during the summer).If you've any precision about the place you will set up i could give you more details too! Describing the whole area could take a year
