Need info on MMR jab for 17 month baby

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of how i can get single jab vaccines for MMR in and around Cahors?   How does it work? We are just arriving from the UK and i need to get my daughter of 17 months vaccinated but there are a lot of issues in the uk about the all in one vaccine giving autism. anyone know about the costs of the vaccine? i believe you buy this from the chemist and then the nurse or doctor injects it? any recommendations in Cahors . if not Cahors what you know would be closest to there. thanks in advance.

Go along to your doctor and ask. Your doctor will give you a presciption for them, take it to the pharmacy to get them, then back to the doctor (or nurse) for administering them.

There has been so much hype over this issue but AFAIK there is no proven link between MMR and autism. My two have had theirs (at aged 1) and the booster (at aged 5).

we tried what the other replier has suggested and bought the vaccine from the pharmacy and were ready to return to the docs, when i read all the info inside the package to discover to my horror that it was the TRIPLE VACCINE and subsequent enquiries determined that France has adopted the same stance as the uk government. Our problem was that we started single vaccines in the uk in 2001 only to have the final one become unavailable due to the UK govt blocking its import. And then moved to France in 2003.

if you find a solution please let me know as we also have a 2 year old who has no jabs for mmr.

regards

Steve
