Andymr
Our beautiful huge willow tree was felled by the storm last night..... right on top of our car as it happens. Question, does anyone need a n ew cricket bat?
JMB
A veritable Womping Willow. I bet that tree never did like that car. :-)You might be surprised to see how quickly the tree regenerates from the stump.
Pierre ZFP
It's a nice idea but I believe that 'Cricket Bat Willow' is a different type of tree and that they are all clones, being propergated by hammering a largish branch into some boggy ground.Willow is a lovely wood though, what about making it into garden furniture? Dog
We are a bit North of Le Bugue and crumbs what a storm!Electricty came back at 3am.What are you going to make out of the remnants of the car?
Patf
Perhaps you realise this - but you can probably claim on your house insurance for any damage done, and for the tree to be removed. We had 6 trees fall over in the storm in Jan. last year, and could claim up to ?1500€ for their disposal, without having it checked out by an expert. It does depend on the severity of the storm though. Just Katie
Just a point. if the tree is near your house and you live in a wetter area, you, this may result in heave.
