VandA
We've just opened a gite here in the Oise in the south of Picardie. We've love to encourage more Brits and Dutch and Germans to come an enjoy this fabulous part of France but so often it's just a place people drive through to get somewhere else. Anyone any ideas how to encourage them to stay?

Chancer
According to the news article you are booked up until the end of September and have guests staying for 6 weeks, I would say carry on with what you are doing, you have already encouraged people to stay. Most people that visit around here, and there are a lot of them for the WW1 battlefields only stay a couple of days it would appear. Gardian
Racing at Chantilly (on your doorstep) and the other Parisien tracks?A small ad in the racecard of, for example, Windsor's very popular evening meeting, might generate something.
NormanH
Make sure they never see Chancer's posts about Picardie[6]You have a nice website. I think it is the image and fame of the area that need a brush up. How many people can even pronounce Oise?
Chancer
Why would you try without the article.Lwazz!!!I adore l'Aisne et L'Oise, but then the other mans grass is always greener, me, I dont even have any!
VandA
We have a 6 week corporate booking (which is fantastic) then a further week so at the moment nothing after sep 2nd. We'd really like to appeal to people who don't know the area so looking for ways to do it.Racing cards sound a good idea - I've a few racing contacts here so will sound them out about it... Thanks! Fay
Shame you are bit too far from the beautiful Baie de Somme for it to be added to the list of attractions! Your place looks wonderful, however.
