Perhaps the confusion comes from Treacle Tart which is made with syrup not treacle. And how about crumpets, well cooked on the bottom and with lots of butter variety 'sel de guérande'?

I wish I liked pumpkins and I have tried doing all sorts of things with them; roasting, boiling, making soup.  Just don't like them much.  And, Sod's Law, French neighbour keeps bringing these giromons (spelling?) in his wheelbarrow for us (they weigh so much, they could easily give you a hernia lifting them).
