"It's difficult to clear out the swamp when you are up to your neck in Alligators"

When you're up to your neck in alligators, it's easy to forget that the initial objective was to drain the swamp.

Not me.
"just because you are wearing gardening trousers does not mean you have to stay in the garden" (Seamus Logan)
You've just caused WW3 to break out here. Mr T insists the correct version of this quote is;

"just because you are wearing boots caked in mud, does not mean you have to stay in the garden".

I doubt we'll ever know the truth.[:D]

I tried to find the truth by Googling and I found this post. So, Tressy, you are famous.

I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

The great cellist Pablo Casals, when aged just over 80 proposed marriage to an attractive 20 year old pupil. She accepted and on his wedding day his doctors advised - "but Mr Casals if you try and consummate this marriage the consequences could be fatal".

To which he replied

"well if she dies ... she dies!"

Very poignant, John.

Nous ne pouvons pas tous faire de grandes choses, mais nous pouvons faire des petites choses avec beaucoup d'amour.

We cannot all do big things but we can do little things with a lot of love.

Raining again[:(] no doubt Krusty would like this one, [8-|]

May was full of promises
But she didn't keep 'em quickly enough for some
And the crowd of doubtin' Thomases
Was predictin' that the summer'd never come
But it's comin' by gum, you can hear it come,
You can hear it in the trees, You can smell it in the breeze
Look around! Look around! Look around!                        -   Carousel - Oscar Hammerstein

Raining again[:(]
It didn't rain today in the Medoc.  At 9am, taking my son to school, it was 20 degrees.

I hope that it got better for you later.

But I found a quote:

Life is like a rainbow.  You need both the sun and the rain to make its colours appear.
