It's absolutely true. I can give you the full address if you want to see it [:D]

There is a picture (and a more comprehensive article) here: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2008/01/24/nhouse124.xml

This is far from a one-off breach of planning regulations, the site has a history of enforcement notices (under 'green belt' rules) and appeals (which have got as far as the main court of appeal before being rejected) concerning large-scale industrial use of the 'farm'. It is currently the subject of a public enquiry, scheduled to last for about three weeks. The site is also used by a rather strange-sounding religious group which helps peple explore their minds through go-karting, quad-biking and health spa treatments. The farm contains many small industrial units, including activities such as plant hire, events management, farm shop and various motor and motorsport businesses.

Yes, I happen to know the place well - but didn't know about the 'castle' until it came out publicly a day or two back during the public enquiry, as one of the more spectacular breaches of planning control. The planners have known about it for ages, and knew something was going on when it was being built, despite Mr Fidler's denials. The council wants it demolished, as it, and many other things on the same site, breach 'green belt' regulations.

A search for 'honeycrock farm' will reveal a lot of interesting stuff.
