Canadian
So, we have to pay a taxe d'habitation that is greater than 300 euros, yes, we lived in France last year as of Jan 1, 2019 and any tax payments above 300 euros can only be paid online. We now live in Canada, and not knowing this tax was coming, we've already closed our French bank account (grr, if I had known). All Canadian banks, unlike EU, don't use IBANs and I simply do not have the option to pay online. I have no clue how to pay this tax. Anyone else out there have this problem? Cathar Tours
Do you speak French being Canadian? I know many do depending which part they come from. When I sorted out my fathers estate there were some bills to pay and I know I was able to phone his local Tresor Public and give them my credit card details over the phone. They spoke a little English but then most nationalities do if you try to give them money. They posted me a receipt afterwards, quite efficient actually for the French I thought.Just a thought.
