cooperlola Posted February 17, 2011 Share Posted February 17, 2011 There is an application which i-phone owners can get (no doubt there's other software about but this is the one I have seen in action) called Shazam, which recognises which piece of music is being played and then (natch!) tells you where you can buy it. I was at a music festival last year and a track was being played between bands which I liked the sound of. My friend who was with me at the time, got out his i-phone and within about 30 second was able to tell me who it was by, what it was called etc, and (if he'd wanted to) could have downloaded it on the spot. Keni Posted February 18, 2011 Share Posted February 18, 2011 My favourite piano concerto is 'The Dream of Olwen', played by Charles Williams - I have the lead 78, can only play it on my Phillips, which I bought when I was around 23 (now mid fifties).
