E-mail notifications

Does anyone know why the e-mails no longer have most of the text of the post on them, just the link to the topic?

As our internet is often down I used to be able to read the posts off line without having to log on unless I wanted to read a long post or reply.

Hi Donna, it kind of explains it here http://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/917122/ShowPost.aspx It is a pain that it's changed now & pretty pointless receiving them.

The good news is that to the best of my knowledge this feature will be re instated in the near future......the mods have made it clear to  admin what a useful feature this was, not least for those on slow dial up connections.

Unfortunately admin is away for the greater part of next week so may not have the opportunity to chase it up.

As Gay says above, Forum Admin was asked by the Mods about returning the email notification facility to its previous status, but we don't know if he's had a chance to notify Forum Tech to do so before leaving on Friday... and he's not going to be around much this coming week, so we may well have to bear with it just a little bit longer... [:)]
