Internet Privacy

Apparently some people felt that my signature, which had the capacity to tell you where you are connecting from was in some way a problem of Privacy.

In fact, there is no invasion of Privacy, as it is simply a reflection of the

information every site gathers about the people browsing it. Every time you log on to a site that information, and a lot of other stuff is immediately available. (such as your IP, Browser, OS etc)

In some ways I would maintain that it is a salutary warning!

Although it showed  the reader something about location, I stress that I could not see that information; each person received a different reflection, as with a mirror.
.......No one ever complains about Onion man van using the same software?  Although that is normally completely wrong as well.[:P]
I have removed it from my signature after being alerted to people being unhappy about it, I'm sorry if anyone felt that it was an invasion of their privacy.
