Posting pikkies?

It appears that photobucket has changed the way it works. Now I have found that I have no idea as to how to post photos!

I have tried the method that I have used for years now and as soon as I put the cursor on the photo I want to post the drop down appears with the Img Code at the bottom of it. I used to be able to move the cursor down to the Img Code, left click on the URL and then paste the URL onto my post. Now, as soon as I move the cursor off of the photo to go to the Img Code it disappears?

Can anyone tell me how this is done now please?

Sorry to butt in but I'm not seeing any of this.  I have to Right Click on the image, Select "Properties" then copy/paste the Location url between {img]....{/img] - witrh the correct brackets.

What view should I be seeing these boxes??? at the thumbnails? at the intermediate size image or at the full size image?

Click on the thumbnail to open it, then right click on the photo, select copy from the menu.

Then, in the post you are making on the forum, right click and select paste

You will see the photo (rather than a link) appear in your post.

This is a screenshot of the full size image.  The IMG Code is provided in full for you to copy (I have ringed it in red.)

On the thumbnail page, as you roll overe a picture, the various codes are shown to you.  Just hover over the one you want (usually IMG) and LEFT CLICK

This will copy the code for you to paste into you post.  Easy innit?

There has been another step put in because before the change I used to be able to click on the Img code straight from the thumbnail listing without actually opening the picture!

Thank you all for the gen. Vw liff und ve learnnnn[blink]

Thanks John.  I had to go back into my options and tick some boxes. I think they got zeroed when Photobucket did one of their upgrades. I always used to get taht dropdown.

Now, does it work?

[quote user="LyndaandRichard"]Love the pic. Very dramatic. Did you do much post processing on it, or thats just as you took it?

There's something about b/w photos that capture so much more than colour.

Thanks a lot. Yes, I like B&W and convert the colour image in Photoshop CS3. I tend to use a conversion process called the Gorman/Holbert method which can be run as an "Action" within Photoshop.

If you use Photoshop I can send you the "Action" if you are interested... works with CS2, CS3, CS4 but not sure about other versions.

Here's another using the method plus some additional processing.

Many thanks again Derek.

My attempt with the Gorman/Holbert action.

Firstly a flat straight forward b/w of the image using the black and white layer in CS3.

And now using the above technique

Love it. The second image seems to have more depth and drama.

Will play around with this some more and see what else I can come up with.

I still have a long way to go to get to your standard though Derek! [:)]
