Assistance with Fosse costs

Does anyone know of a scheme that helps with the installation costs of a new Fosse Septique? I heard a rumour a while back that it may be possible to claim over half the costs with a grant coming out this year or next.

As of yet I have not received any official info on this but when I do, I will post it on here. Be aware though that only full time residents usually get grant help in France and not holiday home owners.

just wondered if anyone had moer info on this. I am currently trying to discover if an old chap near us can get help to have a fosse installed, he is French and in receipt of chommag (unemployment benefit). Thanks

In our small rural commune there was some money available for roof

repairs, fosses etc but strictly means tested, and a limited amount of

funds. It seems to be allocated at local level and not by the government. Helen - best ask at the Mairie. Pat.

We have had the written promise of assistance to pay for the fosse (50%) by the commune, but I think by now have misssed the deadline because our renovation/building project is so behind shedule. We had to arrange it all through the Mairie (i.e. we had to fill in a form and send a devis from an entrepreneur).
