milkeybar kid
I think as you get older you question yourself even more. !! Reading the medicine bottle it says the measure is 1 tablespoon in water. So a desert spoon is what you eat your puddy with, a tablespoon is the same as a serving spoon.Approx 2 desert spoons equals a tablespoon. Yes? confused.com as ever!

CBC65
Just Googled for the ml equivalent and find that "1 Tbsp = 1/2 fl. oz. = 1.5 cl. = 15 ml" A teaspoon is usually 5ml - or maybe you have a kitchen measure to help you.Keep taking the medicine ..................!CBC65
FairyNuff
In general a teaspoon is 5 mls, a dessert spoon 10 mls and a tablespoon 15 mls, as CBC65 says. We have some rather modern style teaspoons from IKEA, which I doubt hold 5ml, so I have to take care which one I use for measuring. milkeybar kid
doh!Seriously, for anyone suffering rheumatics this over the counter medicine (recommended by our doc) Urarathone (homoeopathic) is excellent . I thought I had been overdosing on it as regards 1 tablespoon!! after seeing it contained rocket fuel - ethanol !! it was a moment of panic! Looked Ethanol up in Wikipedia ... big mistake! Interesting though Urarthone €8.70 in France (local chemist) one English advert on internet wanted £28.00 for same size of bottle.! MBK
Tricia
When is a tablespoon not a tablespoon? When it's a french soup spoon.French spoon measures are different from english, the coffee spoon is different too.I've spent some time trying to work out what spoon is what [:)]
tegwini
Presently taking cough medicine as quite ill & not sleeping 'cos of cough, but using a teaspn. messy - got stickly lictus all over myself this morning, so using huge spoon and guessing - hopefully smaller doses as it's awful!Moral here - use a large spoon and get it down the gullet, not on the PJs!Tegwini
