Explosions in Brussels

ebaynut, your remarks are offensive and stupid in the extreme, particularly as my two daughters live and work around Brussels. Fortunately, one has already phoned in, very upset and the other is safely in the country.

My grandson's father is a nurse in one of the specialist teams that go out to these atrocities; I dread to think of what what he is having to deal with.

It is my belief that Europe does not understand the degree of hate and fanaticism which is being directed at it. Perhaps now they will declare martial law and put troops on the streets, as well as carrying out house to house searches of those areas which seem to be encouraging terrorism, as well as pulling in the hate preachers.

You crass idiot, they are already inside the country.

My latest information, not yet made public, is that there might have been two more metro stations hit in Brussels, which makes three, as well as two bombs at the airport. The estimate of casualties from a doctor in the biggest hospital in Brussels is 130!

One does have to worry about the situation in Belgium. Among the things I read when they arrested the man wanted in connection with the Bataclan atrocity was that people had seen him walking openly in the streets for several days previously.

Which ever way you look at it this is an awful atrocity.

The Belgian police have been drawn into a 'conflict' for which they are neither properly trained nor qualified; remember the country is divided into three so resources are also spread pretty thin.

Some time ago, the police and gendarmerie were merged, leading, IMHO, to a lowering of standards. Only look at the police patrolling the streets of Brussels to see what I mean, scruffy, overweight, slack, not worthy of a decent police force.

As to Molenbeek, where are the surveillance cameras which so beautifully decorate the streets of London?

London learned it's lessons from the atrocities committed by the IRA. The same IRA sucked up to by Mr Corbyn and his deputy. They'll probably be wanting to sympathise with the French/Belgium terrorists. In the mean time all our thoughts are with the people of Belgium following this cowardly attack

Edit: It wasn't his deputy, although how he could accept a job from Corbyn is questionable, obviously a man of principle. It was indeed the mealy mouthed John McDonnell, shadow Chancellor.

I saw the pictures of the bombing suspects at Bruxelles airport and to me it's bleedin' obvious they are up to no good.

They are each only wearing 1 glove so they are one of

1. Golfers

2. on their way to a Michael Jackson convention

3. suicide bombers

Now if even I can work that out .........

On her way to work one morning

Down the path

along side the lake

A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen

snake

His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew

“Oh well,”

she cried, “I’ll take you in and I’ll take care of you”

“Take me in oh tender

woman

Take me in, for heaven’s sake

Take me in oh tender woman, ” sighed

the snake

She wrapped him up all cozy in a curvature of

silk

And then laid him by the fireside with some honey and some milk

Now

she hurried home from work that night as soon as she arrived

She found that

pretty snake she’d taking in had been revived

“Take me in, oh tender

woman

Take me in, for heaven’s sake

Take me in oh tender woman, ” sighed

the snake

Now she clutched him to her bosom, “You’re so

beautiful,” she cried

“But if I hadn’t brought you in by now you might have

died”

Now she stroked his pretty skin and then she kissed and held him

tight

But instead of saying thanks, that snake gave her a vicious

bite

“Take me in, oh tender woman

Take me in, for heaven’s sake

Take me

in oh tender woman, ” sighed the snake

“I saved you,” cried that woman

“And you’ve

bit me even, why?

You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to

die”

“Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin

“You knew

damn well I was a snake before you took me in

All acts of indiscriminate terror are appalling as are all acts on which kill or injure innocent bystanders. That is something with which I think we can all agree when it comes to attacks in European cities like Brussels, Paris and London. But there is little difference in morality in the bombing in Syria when many innocent people have been killed or injured. I know some will say that they should have moved but where to? Europe does not want any more refugees  as it is s struggling to deal with those who have already arrived.

And the goings on in Syria are just the latest in the planned long-term destabilisation of the whole region by the USA.  The forces trying to oust the democratically elected government are being funded by the CIA, etc.  The whole thing stinks even more because the thousands of refugees will be a major burden on Europe and not the USA.

[/quote]I don't think the Assad government in Syria is what we we in the West would call "democratically elected". Even Putin seems to have accepted that Assad will have to go as part of a peace settlement.

Now there is a surprise, I see my posts which offer an alternative view to

those of the mods and most of the ‘girls club’ on this forum get deleted.

I also see that another thread which was started on the subject of the

Belgium attacks within five minutes of this one,  has had a heady number of views,

a total of 56 as I type, with no added posts.

This thread, to which I replied and put an alternate view on the reason why

this happened has had 660 views plus and 13 replies.

I will leave you to draw your own conclusions as to why this post has had

so much attention and the other hardly any !!  [8-|]

I see today, on MSN news, that a train service in Germany has introduced

carriages for the use of woman and children only. This is due directly to the

sexual assaults being carried out by ‘migrants’ to the country.

No wonder many are unhappy by this, but hey girls of this forum who welcome

multiculturalism, here could be your last chance for some ‘action’. [geek]

Why let facts get in the way of a good bit of right wing propaganda?

"A German rail operator has introduced women-only carriages to some of its train carriages but denied the move is a response to the recent spate of high-profile sex attacks.

However, the company introducing the changes, Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn, has denied the new carriages are linked to the Cologne attacks.

It said the measures were intended to encourage a safer atmosphere for all female travellers in general.

Children, including boys up to the age of ten, will also be allowed to ride in the carriages, which run on the 50-mile Leipzig to Chemnitz line."

I should also add this is nothing new. Wasn't this the reason that the old rail carriages, where you could not access the rest of the train, were removed from British railway stock about 20 years ago? We were always advised never to use those carriages but to sit in the bigger ones.

No doubt you know it all about this subject, as you do of everything else,

and no, I never go to Belgian, or would ever want to again. But I would like to

suggest this, Europe has seen nothing yet in the way of ISIS attacks, I am

thinking of opening a candle shop in every major city, and I am sure that would

be a winner, for some reason all these tree hugging hippy ‘peace man’ types who

sit around staring into space with their flower heaps need to wake up, the weak

will not inherit the earth, they will only get what the strong allow them to

have.

The only thing I would agree with you on is the Police in that city, they

are over age, over weight, and poorly turned out. No wonder ISIS can operate so

freely there.   Compere this to the UK and US police forces.

And talking of the US,  remember,  who is going to pay for the wall,  THEY

ARE!!!!!!!!!! [:D]  [:D]  [:D]

Norman wrote,

I believe that in the UK men and women have to

use separate toilets in public places  since English men cannot be trusted to

behave decently in the sort of unisex ones found throughout

France..

That's a brave subject for a French resident

to raise for sure. The reason that we have separate WC’s in the UK

is because we can afford them. It may also surprise you to know, that the

thought of hearing a woman in the next cubical does not do it for me, it may

you, but not most normal people, so we have separate ones for each gender here in

the UK.  We also have hand basin's, so we can wash after we use the

WC and soap, ( does not get stolen here either)  I know this may seem strange to

you not living in the UK, but its what we do over

here’.

IF you can find a public WC in LBF, it will

either be a hole in the ground, or lived in by some down and out.

The WC’s in places such as supermarkets always

lack the basics, such as paper, soap and a seat!!!!!  The later are

usually stolen by people outraged that such luxury should exist.

If you want a half acceptable one in France,

then McDonalds is the best option, you know, an American company, and at least

it will be open.

The Public WC’s are

never signed, as to their location, but never mind the smell will tell

you where they are. No wonder that French people are often seen pi55ing at the

side of the road, they never even bother going behind a hedge, and well the men

are just as bad.

Only France would increase house

taxes
if you fit a new WC in your home, a nation that never flushes, as

it may add to their water bill, and would rather save it for one flush a

week.[:)]

I don't know, you go away for a few days, and when you come back, you find

that the mods have deleted all the ‘other fella’s’ posts on this thread that you

were debating.

I  have not a clue what he posted to make them do that, but cripes, one

suspects it must have been OTT. Quite right too, we don't want his nasty

racist, comments on here. [;-)]
