idun
On french news, I saw concerns from french cheese makers about their appellation controle. And had the impression that they also thought that the Canadians would be buying lotsa cheese. I have been to Canada, been to Quebec and heard endless complaints about french tourists wanting bread with their meals, AND also always wanting a cheese course, which they found OTT.So, will the Canadians change their habitudes, will they become prolific eaters of french cheese. We did eat cheddar there and poutine, with almost cheddar curds, or something of the sort? And I know we had Italian cheeses on Italian food and pizzas, but I imagined that the cheese we had with these meals was Canadian, but I didn't ask. Russethouse
There are few foods I dislike, but Canadian 'cheddar' is pretty high up on the list.....I find it 'soapy' somehowOf course having tried it and disliked it I haven't tried it again, maybe another variety or batch would be better.Daughter just back from Quebec, loved the Poutine....
