Nell Posted September 1, 2008 Share Posted September 1, 2008 This is a question that appears regularly in forums which focus on the Languedoc region - I've seen threads on both the Languedoc Page and Anglophone-direct. Worth searching on either of those to see the different views expressed.I come through Girona airport every two months or so, and everytime see more change. There seem to be more carparks springing up around it too. One lead for you - the Vilobi Hotel is right next door to the airport and offers car-parking which I've heard is less than that of the airport ( and no, you don't have to stay there to park your car there) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

JSA Aude Posted September 10, 2008 Share Posted September 10, 2008 As you drive on the airport road, just before the major roundabout in front of the terminal on the right there is a field manned by a chap in a portakabin - we parked there for 10 days at a very reasonable rate the beginning of May. PaulT Posted September 11, 2008 Share Posted September 11, 2008 Cheap car parking - do beware.Was it last year or the year before, but never mind.At Gatwick a company started up offering valet parking. So people arrived, gave their keys to someone and went on their holidays, so simple eh.Needless to say things were wrong. The secure parking promised turned out to be in supermarket car parks and side streets etc. Decent cars were used for such things as weddings etc. Others for joy riding. When it got out what a scam it was and it all collapsed there were some cars that could not be found.Perhaps an extreme case but one to bear in mind.Paul Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We followed Nell's suggestion and parked at Hotel Vilobi right by airport. Lots of parking space fenced and security cameras. Spent six wonderful days in Rome and paid 29 euros for the parking. opas Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 I have only just seen this thread.I too can recommend the Hotel Vilobi parking, we have used it twice.
