Mayennaise Posted August 5, 2006 Share Posted August 5, 2006 What is happening ????? We have a Thrush nesting in our laurel hedge and she has just hatched a nestful of little thrushes! Song thrushes and Blackbirds (and quite a few other birds) usually have two or three broods a year. Last week where I'm working a group of young blackbirds left the nest, which was also in a laurel, so I guess laurels not so bad for a hedge, and at the other side of the house the green finches are on their second go in a conifer hedge.Chris Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Our biggest worry is trying not to alert our cat to their presence!!! So far she is in ignorant bliss as one of us distratcts her while the other one has a peer!!
