Nids!!

Completely normal Mayo, but nice for you just the same. Song thrushes and Blackbirds (and quite a few other birds) usually have two or three broods a year. Last week where I'm working a group of young blackbirds left the nest, which was also in a laurel, so I guess laurels not so bad for a hedge, and at the other side of the house the green finches are on their second go in a conifer hedge.

Thanks for that Chris. It is great watching them -  we keep peering in at them - very careful not to frighten mum of course. Our biggest worry is trying not to alert our cat to their presence!!! So far she is in ignorant bliss as one of us distratcts her while the other one has a peer!!

I'll let you know when they fledge.
